Asked Questions
Q: Who is playing and what are the show times and
ticket prices?
A: Friday, Sept. 15, 7:30p.m.
The Beach Boys with special guest The Red Willow Band,
$40.00 (Plus $3.00 service charge and tax.)
Sat., Sept. 16, 6:00p.m.
The Steve Miller Band with special guest Creedence
Clearwater Revisited
$50.00 (Plus $3.00 service charge and tax.)
Q: When will the gates open?
A: Gates will open 2 hours before show time.
Q: Do Vietnam Era Veterans get a free ticket?
A: Yes. From March 15 to Sept. 4, or until concert is
sold out.
Registered veterans get one free ticket for both the Friday
and Saturday night shows.
Q: How will I get my tickets?
A: Purchased tickets will be mailed first class within 7
days of purchase. Tickets purchased after September 7 will
be available to pickup at the “will call,” ticket center
located at the corner of Ree and Capital Streets near the
Foss Building.
Free Veterans tickets will be held and available for
pickup at the welcome center at the dedication. Free
Veterans tickets will NOT be mailed.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Weather may result in the temporary delay or even
cancellation of some or all entertainment. We can’t control
it. We have to pay to put it all together whether the
weather is good or not. We’ll try to give you a very
memorable show……but it’s a “rain or shine,” deal and there
are no refunds for delays, nonperformance or cancellations
because of weather.
Q: What kind of seating is available at the concerts?
A: The concerts will be held outdoors in a sports
stadium. All seats are open, general admission which means
first come first served. There is limited bleacher seating
available however, the best seats will be on the field so
bring your own small lawn chairs to set out on the grass. We
ask that you not reserve space with the use of rope, cords,
tape or other materials. Concert organizers reserve the
right to remove all obstructions that are not in the spirit
of this open seating policy.
Q: Will there be accessible seating for people with
disabilities?
A: Yes, a drop off
area will be provided with access into the venue and
there will be seating reserved for people with
disabilities with space FOR ONLY ONE companion for each
person. If you have questions or need additional
accommodations please call 1-800-265-9684. The sooner
you call the better we can attend to your needs.
Q: What items can I bring into the concert?
A: Lawn or bag chairs
Non-alcoholic beverages in factory sealed plastic
containers.
Binoculars
Q: What items are not allowed to be brought into the concert?
A: Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
Glass bottles or aluminum/steel cans
Coolers
Flash cameras or sound/video recording devices (recording
media is subject to confiscation)
Weapons or items construed as weapons
Large bags or backpacks
Animals (except guide dogs)
Umbrellas
Q: What type of security will there be at the concert?
A: For your safety and the safety of others, guests and
their possessions are subject to inspection as condition of
admittance. Please have your bags open and available for
inspection. All guests entering are subject to search by
metal detecting wands and or pat downs. Additionally, all
small bags, briefcases, and purses are subject to search at
venue entrances. Bear with us as we necessarily check bags,
ect. at the entrances to exclude prohibited items.
Q: Where do I park?
A: Parking will be very limited near the concert venue.
Pierre residents and those with hotels are encouraged to
walk if possible. Shuttles to and from hotels and outlying
parking areas will be operating after the concerts so if
you’re coming from out of town you are encouraged to park in
the outlying lots and ride the shuttles.
Q: Will there be food and beverages at the concerts?
A: Yes! A number of food concessions will be available
featuring hamburgers, bratwurst, Italian sausages, pizza,
pop, water and more. Beer will be available with proceeds
benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Dakota, but you must have
proof of age. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Q: If I leave the concert can I be readmitted?
A; No, once a guest has left the venue, that guest will
not be readmitted.
